Jewar to be world's 5th largest airport; Yogi government set up Yamuna International Airport
Lucknow: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has formed 'Yamuna International Airport Private Limited' company to make Asia's second-largest international airport at Jewar in Greater Noida. With its formation, the construction work of the airport is expected to be accelerated. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's office has given information about this through a tweet.
After this, the government spokesman said in a statement that the Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh is going to overtake China to make Asia's second-largest airport at Jewar. With the construction of this airport, the economy of Uttar Pradesh will get new momentum. Employment and business will increase, as well as investors will also move towards Uttar Pradesh. <!
The statement said that Jewar Greenfield International Airport will boost industrial development in Uttar Pradesh as well as bring industrial development to a new level. The government is expected to earn more than one lakh 10 thousand crore rupees from this project, being built with an investment of 30 thousand crore rupees. Also, more than one lakh people are expected to get direct and indirect employment. From this airport, investment of about one lakh crore rupees will be made in Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Yamuna Expressway area.
Jewar will be the world's 5th largest airport
The financial bid for Jewar Airport was opened on 29 November 2019. In this, Zurich Airport International AG won the contract for the airport at the rate of Rs 400.97 per passenger revenue payment. The spokesman said that this airport to be built in Uttar Pradesh will be the 5th largest airport in the world. Work is going on at this proposed airport in Jewar, Greater Noida, on about 5000 hectares. According to the proposal, flights will start operating from Jewar International Airport in 2022-23.
The project has been hanging in the balance for the last 20 years
The spokesman said that previous governments lacked the willpower to build the Noida International Jewel Airport, leaving the country's largest project hanging in the balance for the last 20 years. In the year 2017, there were only 4 airports in the state and a total of 25 destinations were connected with air services. The Yogi government has increased the air connectivity to presently make 6 airports operational. Air services are available from these airports to a total of 55 destinations.
